I've been using the SFI balancers from Pioneer for years. My 360's have been internally balanced using a neutral balanced balancer/damper. They are also sold by Jeg's under their own label.
Never a problem, externally or internally. Internal parts always look good.

I use a Pro-Race (SFI) balancer on my Oldsmobile SB (7200 rpm), and it has been a good piece.

I just had my ATI rebuilt. Actually it was sent in to get a different durameter (sp?) isolater ring for a higher RPM going from Stock to SS. After ten years of use it was in perfect condition. I also saw that episode of Pinks. I knew immediately it was a balancer ring. Get what you pay for!

Fluidamper is heavier than most; does not work well in all applications either. There is an SAE paper on racing balancers and Fluidamper was not that good in dampening the harmonics and/or preventing crank flex.

ATI on our pontiac engines. No bearing issues, hundreds of passes.Although we have one pontiac 400 that sits in the corner waiting for a rebuild that has a TCI rattler on it that has about 800 passes on it,1 set of bearings at about 300 passes, and that was a waste of money because they looked almost new.
