Where did you read that it is on the weekend of Sept 27?

It was just a guess on my part. I'm hopping they take the suggestion though.The NHRA Sportsnationals are September 19-21and it would not be a wise idea to schedule against that event. Then Division 3 has two National Opens in a row on October 4-5 and October 11-12.

I think the IHRA Division 3 Bracket Finals are that weekend,so I don't see any good open weekends for them for awhile.I think the Division Director and other personel might have to attend that,but maybe not.There has been some great weather in late October and early November the last few years,so maybe thats what will happen?

The IHRA Div. 3 Bracket finals are Sept. 18-21, the same weekend as the NHRA Sportsnationals. As Mike says, Sept. 26-28 seems like a logical choice.

Thunder (Div 5) US131 Motorsports Park September 18-21
North Stars (Div 3) Pittsburgh Raceway Park September 25-28

Since the Division Director runs Division 3 AND 5,I am speculating that he and his staff need to be at Pittsburgh.Not sure,though,so we will wait for IHRA.com to post the date.

Good point, 442 Olds. I would tend to think that they may lean toward the Oct. 4-5 weekend. Although it is the same weekend as the NHRA Doorslammers race at Louisville, I wouldn't think that there are that many racers that would go to both events.
