Remember that NHRA foots the bill for all production costs and the airtime....I sure hope Page is working cheap.
They could tap into Bob doing the P.A. announcing and it would be a huge step up. |

I think Mike Dunn is the best announcer/analyst in motorsports broadcasting today, although I gotta give Mike Joy a very honorable mention (he does a good job at Barrett-Jackson too).
I really miss Steve Evans, not just because he was fantastic as a reporter/analyst, but I think he truly loved sportsman drag racing and realized that it is the backbone of drag racing. Since the day he passed the amount of sportsman coverage on TV has dwindled to almost nothing. Remember when Diamond P showed all the final runs in all of the sportsman categories at the Nat'l events and had interviews with the winners on TV? That was great stuff! |

NHRA pays for the TV time, but ESPN controls who is the on-air talent.
