Default Re: another aa/sa chevelle

I'm pretty sure that has to be their 69 Camaro. The reason I say that is even a 427/425 AUTOMATIC 69 Chevelle factors at 8.50 pounds per HP, that's a natural B car. The rule book says you can't move up two classes. Now a 4 speed car is different, a 69 Chevelle 427/425 4 speed car IS a natural A car. Now, if you do the math, a 69 Chevelle 427/425 automatic actually factors 8.49xxx pounds per HP, but NHRA rounds it up. I was also told that even if you put aluminum heads on the 427/425, making the rating 435HP, NHRA says it is still a natural B car, and you cannot move to AA/SA. In order to run AA, Kevin Borgstrom had to put a Jericho in his car.

Of course, it is also possible that what I was told either was not true, or the person who told me that was over ruled by Glendora.
