when you start running slicks is when you should start welding the tubes up.

The girdle covers are a real plus on a light housing. .... They not only help keep the caps from deflecting, they also help keep the housing from spreading and losing preload and increasing backlash. ........As the man said "pay me now or pay me later"! ...........Tom
