The 3936 that you are referencing is the shipping weight of a 1966 Coronet 440 station wagon 6 passenger. For stock eliminator, the 383 325 hp is rerated to 280 hp. That makes it a natural "M" with a p/w factor of 14.06. Since you can move up 1 class and down 1 class, it would have to weigh 3950 in "L", 4090 in "M" or 4230 in "N", all including the driver.
hope this helps, Ryck Campbell NHRA D-1 Tech Director

I assume that the 318 combo for this car would have to run a polly 318. does any one know this to be true or are they allowing LA motors ?

Cyclecyko, Stick with the 383/w 4bbl. Check out Jim Hale's 67 cuda with a 383 4bbl!!!!! He's able to run a second under at will. That would work well in your wagon I feel! Using the 915 heads, with the smaller ex valve,1.60 could be a competitive combo. Make sure you have a well setup rear ..Good Luck, John Lang. A Mopar lover.
