roof a/c blower speed too high

a curtain has been my method so far.

Today I bought a speed controller from Grainger and will post my results.

Someone said it is designed that way so it won't freeze up with the thermo on max cold. I understand that concept but think it's simply a matter of dialing the thermo to prevent frezzing at a lower blower setting.
