Mark;
I checked the websites.Like I said LV and Cecil were the only ones with their elevations.Cecil was +320 and LV +603.I know Englishtown is near sea level.I need the info for a new weather station for next year.
I'm gonna get this car figured out if it kills me.

Ed F.

What cas the elevation of Conn. Raceway? I'm sure it's in your memory banks.LOL

Ed - Check out www.whowon.com. On the left side in the middle of the home page there's a brown "track directory" box. I picked several different tracks at random and they all showed elevation in the "notes" field. Don't know how accurate, but maybe better than nothing. Hope this helps.

Ed,

Download Google Earth (available online as a freebie) and type in the address of the track (or any address).

If you select the correct set of choices under the "Layers" menu, you'll be visually transported to the site and the elevation of that spot on the surface will be displayed. I just checked Maple Grove and Google Earth said that the starting line is 519 feet above sea level. Does that sound about right?

The same tool indicated that the starting line at Las Vegas was 2003 feet while the starting line at Pomona is indicated at 1033 feet.

I'm sure that more accurate elevation data is available somewhere on the Internet but those numbers work pretty well for me.
