All of the HP adjustments are not in the NHRA Lucas site, go to your own individual classification and check it out.

Recognizing you are Chevy fan, let's be level headed here. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that the Pontiac is the fastest GT/AA at Vegas and Pomona. Runs faster than the Ford. Wins class and the shoot-out. However, the Ford gets the HP and the Chevy does not get any HP. It is clear there is something wrong.

No..not really anything like that...just pointed out that this was his own "doing" ..but i commend all people that still run thier cars all out despite a good chance of being hit and get other racers rage....if everyone did..this "system" would probably work a little better than it is now...but still long from perfect because cars/combo's with small counts would still be at disadvantage if they go fast..look at the 427 Chevy's in Stock...been at the top of the class for more than 10 years and never got hit once still i belive..gotta be that the averge are keept down by all those cars running!

How can you say they are at the "top of the class" when the 426 Hemi in Ronnie West's GTX (previously in Fred Henson's '70 Challenger) and the paper cars ('67 Shelby single 4bbl GT 500s) display e.t.capabilities somewhat beyond what any of the 427 Cheys can run? John Cooper's '66 427 medium-riser Fairlane has also shown to be quicker, by holding the A/SA record for long periods, I believe.

I think the 396 aluminum head motor may even be faster in A/SA than a 427. at this point, although they just got hit with a little HP last month. Time will tell...

The 427 Rat is a great engine for A/SA, but not quite the fastest, in my opinion...

p.s. its sad that the system took Hemi-Cuda's and Challengers out of contention..

The 73-81 dish piston 350 got hit again too it's @ 287 now up from 283! 2 years ago it was @ 275! & had been for quite some time

Yes, I've heard of them but have never seen either of them outrun any of the three cars I mentioned.

Have you?

I don't believe they can, under normal conditions.

Neither of them seems to want to show up at Indy...

Some cold cases are worth re-opening....

PS Not to worry; the Hemi lives on in the GTX... and, I completely overlooked the awful-awful Stage III Wedge of John Shaul... How stupid of me.

The amazing thing is, ALL those other cars have multiple carburetion... but, the Chevy gets it done with one four barrell....
