"Live" from Hagerstown,MD - Lee Sherman Memorial Stock/Super - Page 2

I came down yesterday as a spectator but ended up doing most of the announcing for this excellent stock / super stock race. Everything about this event was great, Mason Dixon Dragway, excellent track conditions, weather, prior advertising, Mike Carr's involvement and lastly huge support from the racers who attended. Congrats to Larry Jewell and family and to Larry "Bunk" Miller and family, great driving from both. Many close runs throughout eliminations. This race is an example of an addition to / alternative to NHRA divisonal, nationals type racing. Good job to all that were a part of this race, I had a GREAT time being there! Also congrats to Andy Dolan, the winner and Chris Crawford, the runner-up of the foot brake race. They had just enough cars to give everyone a break between rounds. These guys were all real sharp too! Very fun day for sure. Take care everyone over the long off-season.

Always wanted to visit but can't seem to find the time...maybe NEXT year? Looks like a great time to be had there!

BTW...does anybody know which track is more "downhill"...Mason-Dixon or Maple Grove?

Earlville Iowa 1% down hill or 13.2 '. The race in the fall is always a good one.

Cecil County is our mineshaft track in Div 1.
