Met Jeff at Englishtown a few years ago. Real nice guy. My prayers go out to his family and friends.

Bret and Family,

Jeff inspired a lot of racers and he will be deeply missed. Jeff always made himself available to help out a fellow racer.

God Bless,

My father I had had the opportunity to meet Jeff at Englishtown in 2006. What a great racer, businessman, and gentleman as many people have commented on. He was very supportive of our racing endeavors and many others. I would always go over to his dealership when I would be on vacation in Florida and spend a couple hours talking racing and visiting his "secret room" as he called it to check out the race car. He always told stories about the old super stock days and how Velde Ford became what it is today. He was very inspirational to say the least and he will be missed by many. Rest in Peace Jeff! We're going to miss you!

Very sorry to hear this. First met Jeff when pitted by him at the Little Guy Nationals in Suffolk Va. in I believe 73 or 74. Very friendly and super nice guy, may he rest in peace. ----------- Danny Lattimore

I'm sure many of you know that Jeff owned my car for 6 years. I sold it to Jeff in 2000 and purchased it back in 2006. Jeff did more to my car then I could every do and was grateful he gave me the chance to buy it back.

I have a great story on how I came to buy it back. Jeff called me up one day and said would you like to buy it back. I said I would love to, but I know you have so much invested I most likely could not afford it. He told do you remember what we talk to when I bought the Shelby, I said yes but that was 6 years ago. He said well that's what I want for it and when you get the money, it will be waiting for you. I told him I know people that would give you more for the car, he said no, its here in my race shop waiting for you when your ready, I want you to have it.

What can I say, the story tells volumes about who Jeff was.

Jeff was a kind man and very generous man. Soft spoken, always with a smile on his face and loved racing. My heart goes out to his wife and family and close friends, he will be missed.

Below is a link to the funeral home with info about Jeff and when the services will be held. You can also sign the guest book.

Sad news indeed. Always loved Jeff's many cars, particularly the B/FX Pinto he drove in the early 1980s. RIP
