It's the jinx. Never say the weather will be good a week in advance.

Thats not good....,,, I see the nasty front moving North from the Richmond, Newport News area.... . Its absolutely gorgeous in Pittsburgh right now, and there is a stiff 10 MPH easterly wind across the whole state.... Hopefully that easterly wind will carry it out to sea.....

Gas , tolls and entrance fee's 500 Dollars, getting car ready and checking everything, along with a few new parts. thousands of dollars, what I want to do to the weathermen that first forecasted a perfect weekend, PRICELESS..

Definitely sucks for everyone already committed to the event.

Looking at all the weather models, I'd say no way anything hits the track before Saturday and even then, it's going to be marginal.

Gary, i can smpthatize for you my brother
It can't be a cheap tow all the way from Mass.
Why couldn't they postpone it from the start
On tues or wed. Have it for the following weekend
It figures when it doesn't rain in 12 days
It just has to do it now for 3-4 days

The forecast certainly is terrible. But looking at the radar in motion, it looks to have broken up quite a bit compared to yesterday... maybe it will continue to do so...

The problem is that it's a Nor-Easter so it's just spinning up the coast rather then just coming up and hitting for 1 day. Like the weather man said last night, it's not a big or strong storm it's just a really slow and wet storm. I mean it broke apart but, forecasts still don't look good. 80% today, 70% tomorrow, 50% Sat & 30% Sunday. I'm sure they will do the best they can with the track but, unfortunately I can't see car counts being great. I heard all the asphalt is full and a few straggling trailers in the grass but, not many. I think we are all waiting out a decision or for it to maybe clear

An abbreviated schedule (one run and done) is not the right way to run this event. I know it is easier said than done, maybe even impossible (and I'm not being critical of our D1 people in anyway) but the ideal thing to do would be to resched the entire event so it could be run as planned with all the scheduled festivities etc. To condense everything down to 1 TT and then straight into 1st round (which is what will likely happen if one or two days are lost to weather) completely defeats the purpose of the event.
