Yoyr pictures brought back alot of memories with Jim Wick, Larry Griffith, and a lot this insanity started at that particular track, Great Lakes Dragaway for me in 1957...... Thanks alot, John Lang

Jack,
You have to be REALLY old to remember the AHRA classification system. I recall that "X" meant sports car, "F" meant foreign manufacturer, "G" was the weight:horsepower classification. That system was usually fairly fluid and subject to change without notice. c |
