Mike glad to hear he is going to be ok. Racing can wait. My dad had a triple bypass about 6 months ago. They were 80 to 90 percent blocked. After the surgery and recovery he feels better than he has in years. So your dad should feel better soon. Ed

Sorry to hear the bad news, hope you have a quick recovery Jim & the clutch pedal will be there when you are ready! Don't worry about Great Bend, it will probably rain out anyway...

Mike,
Your dad is one of the very reasons I got into class racing. He's a mentor to so many around this area, especially me. I wish him the speediest of recoveries and can't wait to see him at the track soon!

Mike, I added your Dad to the RFC Prayer Chain. We will pray for him. There is power in prayer.

Dad is at home now resting comfortably. He's about 95% pain free and feels fine. Will be on light-duty restrictions for 6 weeks, but can drive and resume business activities from an observation standpoint. He starts cardiac rehab next Friday, and the extent of the heart damage should lessen over the next few months. All in all, dad is in great spirits and we're all fortunate to still have him around. He's anxious to get back to the track, and as it looks now, Great Bend is not ruled out yet! Thanks for all of the warm thoughts and prayers for his continued recovery.

Marty - thank you. It means a lot to all of us.

All - Dad is overwhelmed by all the phone calls and emails and blog posts. He hasn't read any of these yet, but will this afternoon.

Thanks again to all of you. You're a great group of guys and the reason it remains fun to keep attending races year after year!
