This thread is about the Factory Stock Showdown class, not factory stockers. To make it easier for you: 4 cars in the Factory Stock Showdown class did not qualify.

Give me 0.60 on index and my car is 1.240 under and I am in the show! I would like to here from the SRAC why the Factory Showdown cars get the index break and we (the old cars with carbs do not). The Showdown cars get an extra choice of witch class to run: the natural class, a class above, or a class below, or the Showdown class!

Running the Factory Showdown cars at other venues is ok by me, it is not a qualified field and it is a good show. NHRA does not need to pollute, I mean dilute, the pride of qualifying for our most prestigious race.

Come on SRAC fix this before Indy

I'd say that after they run some events the Index will be adjusted to appropriate places. Just have to get a data pool to pull from. Right now they have 1 race with limited entry's and it was primarily 5.4 TVS Cobra Jets with some 5.0 Whipple Cobra Jets and one V-10 Drag Pack. Since then they also messed with the weights so now Data is insufficient.

Cliff notes:
This year is two seperate classes within the Factory Stock Showdown AC/DC.

AC-Less then 400ci NA gained 250#(up from 3000) and Index adjusted .6

AC-Between 401-450ci NA gained 350#(up from 3000) and index adjusted .6

DC-Over 450ci NA lost 275#(down from 3475) and index adjusted .3

DC-Supercharged cars lost 175# (down from 3675) and index adjusted .3

The winner of each class squares off against day other for overall.

Don't worry about V10s .. we can only get to 3200 with out a driver..LMAO

If everything that is stated in that article was followed by, "for stock class only and not the eliminator or qualifing for the eliminator", it would be fine.....
