Sure thing Claud, Well I don't know how they did but the NHRA crew got one round of stock in and everyone got a time shot today. Also the alcohol cars ran two qualifiers and they even had time for some jet cars to go down for the fans, good job all.

Good morning everyone, well its wet out there today, but the weather experts say it will stop this morning and stay dry for the rest of the day. There is allot of water on the track, so it will be awhile before we get started. I'm sure Jack will have some thoughts on todays racing.... as he says............... stay tuned !

Good morning - After a great finish last evening to what started out as a very soggy day we are faced with more wet stuff this morning .It rained most of the evening up until around 7 am and hasn't since .At this moment its gloomy and overcast with today's forecast not having much hope to get racing again anytime soon .But you never know - the way it came down yesterday afternoon I would have bet against any track time .

Last night Stock had their first round and for a change it was in front of a pretty good size crowd who were here for the 'show' .....Pretty much fun with the exception of racing in the 'dew' as it presented some interesting situations .And also there were those pesky brite tree lights - challenges for sure .

Then the rumor mill was running at full speed last night as to when the rain date would be if this were to be cancelled - most thought the weekend after Cecil County would be when it happen - we'll see.

Ken and I will keep you informed today as information becomes available .........

We are still racing, its been spitting all day with down time in between, but somehow we are getting it done. Stk and SS are going into the fourth round as are the super classes. There are still lots of clouds around, but we might make it before the rains come. The internet connection is very slow. I will try later with more info.

We have regular for $3.11 to $3.13, diesel for $3.49 to $3.55 around here. Regular is down about 30 cents from a couple of weeks ago. Go to Kansas or Texas and it goes back up.

Since the racers are busy packing up and heading home, here's the latest from Jim Samuel (as of 8:50 Sunday):

"Persistent rain has put an end to racing here this weekend. NHRA officials battled the rain all weekend and after completing at least three rounds of eliminations in all classes, the rains came back.

"This race will be completed at Cecil County Dragway on Friday, August 15th. Remaining cars from this event will get one time run then, followed by the completion of eliminations."

The results of everything that was run today are on DRC and on Jim's website.
