Dennis Alvey trailer accident

John Calvert just called and informed us that stock racer Dennis Alvey was involved in a roll over wreck on his way home from Fontana yesterday.
He and his wife are very sore, but not seriously injured.
Unfortunately that cannot be said for his truck, trailer, and Mustang race car.
Both the truck and trailer are totaled and the Mustangis pretty beat up.
He had insurance on the truck only.
If anyone cares to offer any assitance to a good racer in need I am sure that Dennis would appreciate it.

Alex, I will start it off with $50. Lets get up and do this instead of just looking at the news report. He is one of us.

As someone who only today, (yes.. that is after going to and returning from Norwalk with the car in the trailer uninsured), got new insurance after having gotten fed up with my previous carrier and canceling it last week. I now again have coverage on the car and the trailer. I agonized all of the way to Norwalk, and back... Then I ran across the Hagerty booth in Norwalk, took care of details, and as of tomorrow am again insured.. Luckily nothing bad happened to us, but I can surely feel for him. I am especially glad he and his wife weren't badly injured!

I don't know Dennis, but I haven't met very many racers who aren't good guys. Best wishes, and hope this helps a little. Drooze and I each will add $50 (2 X $50=$100) to the fund. I just saw the address. Si it goes in the mail tomorrow.

I am relieved to hear that Dennis and his wife will be alright. Anyone who has met Dennis knows immediately that he is truly one of the good guys in our sport. Both he and his wife have always put a premium on helping other racers in whatever way they can. A class act to be sure.

Put me down for a $150.

Glad to hear they're OK. I met both when i raced class at Vegas a couple years ago and they were a great couple. I'm in for $50.
