You guys ever see anyone else doing that?

Rock hope all is well with the family.
There used to be a super gas racer in Div 2 that used to do that and there is a super comp racer that still does it down here. Neither one had much success. The problem I see with it is in order to do that, they will have to set their car up to be safe on every run because they will never be able to judge a car that may be 50 to 60 mph faster at the stripe. The better racers will know that and hold a tenth or more, so they can catch them way before the finish line and set up on them. Div 4 racers usually set up fairly honest so most of the fast cars out there probably wouldn't try that approach if they were racing a guy with a top end stop. Just my 2 cents

We ran into that problem a few years back where we had to be completely honest on the set-up. We recently changed the way we do things and actually have it come back on at the top end and have had a lot of success this year. Finished 11th in D-1 S/G in 2010, went to a few 3rd or 4th round finishes in 2011 and a final round at Numidia, so I guess it's all about how well you set the car up. Cars with big hoodscoops in the left hand lane hate racing us cause you don't see the car till about 1100 feet. Some racers who know what you do can set up slow but, it's all about hitting the tree and going 9.90....correct?

Couple things.....

My family is doing better...thanks.....

Honest dialers in Division 4....I don't think so....(maybe 1 or 2 guys I don't know)

As far as the top end stop goes....the concept is ok I guess but its just not fun....Its a horrible feeling going slow down there

and fairly difficult to dial....

I have seen several guys try it but I don't believe we have seen a winner....so until that happens....

here is a curve ball to throw at everyone. if you have the data to support it tho. if you have two time shots, run one with the stop coming on at the first, then the next one with the stop coming on at the top end. this will throw everyone for a loop when they are looking at the Q sheets. but you will really have to have data to play this game.

PA... if you wouldn't have people doing your hair after every run then you would have more time. How does Kyle do it hair, weather and tire pressure?

I may not win a lot of rounds but there is nothing better than running 9.90 at 170+ ,,,, when the car is dialed ,,, its like the eagle swooping down on the chicken that is attempting to get in the hen house ,,,,, and the speed ,,,, for an old man like me there is nothing like it to get the heart pumping

CBS Jr.... I'm in Vegas for my birthday ,,, went over to shop this morning ,,, Please call me.

You can tell I needed a break from the Casino ,,, I'm in the room reading class racer am I sick or am I sic ,,,,,

I agree (it would harder to be consistent) then on the other spectrum have seen Donnie Pedan down here at the Nationals run 9.90 at 191 mph!!!! Try to follow most of you through ND or DRC, what is the highest mph you have seen in SG?

We watched Donnie do this on Saturday one time he would run the number, the next time when he came off the tstop he blew the tires off.

For you guys running high mph track prep at mid track has to be excellent. How many of you have come off the stop and not hookup?

Rock is my hero but he always goes like 150s. I dont know why you all think he can go 170 something? Tommy D can do that.
I think i saw where Mike Manners went 990s at 205 in norwalk one time. Probably not a good combination though.

Fuzz - More mph is more fun, but hard to do in my 2500 lb tank. I may need to go to super street myself.
