It was featured by Doug Marion in the March 84 Super Chevy, more recently I built a 68 Chevelle stocker that had a tendancy to corkscrew rather noticably as it pulled the left front wheel, I called it "Yank". I built another one and called it Yank II when I sold the first one to Tony Janes, after we upgraded the rear suspension, it tamed them down considerably, speaking of Tony, he and Marv Ripes had a 57 Chevy stocker called the Powerglide Prosecutor. He has a 4 door Chevelle today called the Powerglide Prosecutor II. We also have a red 68 Chevelle wagon O/SA car called "the Mule." It was originally supposed to be a test mule for various drive line combinations. Let's hear some more from those days in So Cal racing!!
Yeah Greg, I spent a lot of time at the County from 72 or so until it closed. i remember quite a few of those - and how about the Great White Knuckler 62 valiant, Lakacash 57 chevy, Cap'n Crunch 4 speed 56 chevy, Duster's Last Stand 71 duster gasser, Yankee Peddler 65 mustang, the Other Woman 66 nova, 2 Quarts a Day 62 plymouth stocker, Tin Indian pontiac, the Prehistoric Rat 409 el camino, Mr. Wedge 64plymouth ss/da - funniest thing about that one was what it said on the front fender - 426 cubic YARDS - LOL

I raced last year at the new Irwindale 1/8th mile track in the Summit Series, and there was an orange 66 Nova there that shows up nearly every race. i was told that was the old Other Woman car from the 70's, and he drives it on the street. Probably not with the big block and the twin Dominators that I seem to remember.

One of the Chevy Bankers, Timmy Woods is in the late stages of cancer. If anyone knows him he may be grateful for a call before he leaves us. He is really a great guy. His number is 540-992-1997 and ask his wife Pam if he can talk.

Default Names that, well............

Went to my local track a couple years back and was blessed to see 3 Chevelle's at the same event. Rat-itude, Rat a Tat Tat, and Rat-ical. All 3 were painted like a bag of Halloween candy, thought I was going to throw up!

I once saw a small photo in 70s drag race mag of what I can remember, a mid 60s Chevelle Super Sport with the name:

RatS
S***

Do any of you remember this car? I always like that name. I figured that it had a Big Block.
