Don,I wish we lived near each other,I can always use an easy round win.It sounds like it`s really easy to mess with your head if coming up to the lanes late gets you out of your game plan. It`s not too hard to get around the touring pros "advantage" of coming up to the lanes late.
That`s a pretty piss poor excuse about the pros having more time to practice, they control how many times you can take a hit on a practice tree, how many times you can go bracket race at your local track????? Yep,it`s their fault you suck! Maybe you should get a job with the local school athletics program,it`s sounds like you condone the "whole everyone gets a trophy because we don`t want to hurt anyone`s feelings"philosophy.

Everybody are allowed their opinions, just because you don't agree with it doesn't mean you have to belittle their opinions. Civility and respect is a prerequisite to education.

One thing I`ve always done if I know I`m racing against someone who is consistantly late to the staging lanes is wait in my pit for a few extra minutes. If I know they`re going to be late, why should I go down there and waste my time standing around,I`ll just stay in my pit until I`m pretty sure they`ll be there, maybe make them wait on someone for once. During eliminations,if those racers in two categories are still in both, you know you`ve got a little extra time to cool off between rounds. Sometimes racing against those "Pros" as you call them can actually help you. Now quit bitching you crybaby and deal with what you have chosen to race with. No one forced you to race in Super Stock,or to buy a new, quicker car. Race more often and become a better racer.

Never mind...arguing/debating/talking to Don is like talking to a wall. He has his ideas/opinions, and no matter what you say, even if you have facts to prove him wrong, he doesn't want to hear it, so I won't even start.

I am glad that you finally told the rest of your story. If you feel that you are at a disadvantage to racing a "Pro",that is your opinion and you are certainly entitled to believing that.
I,for one,am glad that touring Pros even exist. The only reason that they exist is because there is some legitimate money to be made in this sport if you can win every now and then. One way to get rid of the "touring Pro" is to race for trophy only. Sorry, but this sport costs too much money to drive all over the country to race for a trophy only. Is that what you would want? |

Don,I reread all my posts on the subject and the only name I called you was a whiner.
Malcontent was also use. Please point out to me where I called you any other names. You say everyone else just doesn't get it.Don,maybe YOU don't get it. I really don't think you would be adventurous enought to travel to race Adam at his home track. That's a long way to go to get bopped out first round.

True Don,the name calling is a bit odd for myself, and I am sorry for that. It gets old to read this same topic over and over, year after year. I myself finally gave up on complaining about the Division 5 schedule and the amount of travel needed, hense I stay home. There will always be touring racers that race for a living, and they are very tough to beat,it just gives us more resons to bracket race at home to get better at our hobby. Therefore,no reason to complain about it.
