Talking I-95 Speed Trap (Va.)

Saw this on another site. Anyone going to Budd's Creek this week ,BEWARE. A 10 mile or so speed trap operation is in effect from the N.C line to a little past Emporia. and then scattered til Petersburg. Be careful ,it costs enough to race already without donating to the state. Have a safe trip and see ya at MIR.

If you tow at the speed limit it's not a problem, right Ed?

I never tow above the speed limit. Not over weight either. (Me, not the car)

Kinda like a speed start, speed stop on the drag strip. Except you don't get white or yellow tickets though , they are pink and you have to pay for them. I'm just helping the HP out in va by telling evryone so they will not have to get pulled over and take up so much time for the patromen so they won't be so tired after their shift is over. Nope i have not contributed to the Va hp as of yet. I usually don't speed anyhow. Just be safe on yo way.lol

A local news station stated that this week the Va State Police were launching a week long campaign to deter speeding on all the major interstates throughout VA, so be careful.

Also be advised that radar detectors are illegal in the Commonwealth of Virginia. They have to be removed, not merely disconnected. It's a secondary offense, which means if you're pulled over for any infraction you can receive a citation and lose the unit. Word to the wise!

Danny,
Who are you kidding...We've never been through a weekend outing to a dragstrip with out paying NHRA, IHRA, or the local strip.

There's one more place to look out for, the bridge going from Va to Md (Harry Nice Bridge). The bridge police are always out shooting radar and they can patrol a couple miles away. The speed limit on the Md. side is 25 MPH at the bridge and its enforced. See everyone there this weekend
