Hey thanks guys,
I went with a deeper grove but I had to stay with the same diameter in order to keep the charging capabilities up.. Here is a post from another form I am on: http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=330257 |

Once I used a stud instead of a bolt in one of the water pump mounting bolts that stuck out past the belt, and used some kind of sleeve over the stud to keep from chewing up the belt. I got lucky that the stud was less than 1/2' away from the belt. All it did was keep the belt under centrifugal force to not expand or "grow" and it kept it on. This was a street/strip car that had the alternator on the driver's side past the valve cover. Long belt!

if your using a delco alternator with the internal regulator ,,you can get a one wire kit that will charge 13.50 at idle and 14.50 at higher rpm and thats with a bigger pulley ,and go with an electric water pump ,,it helps with cool downs gmonde
