Alan why do you like the ferrea over the others. At one time they flowed a little better, but with the new rules.they are about the same. Jim Hanig

Jim, we've been happier with the quality and reliability of the Ferrea valves than with other manufacturers. Ferrea has been easier to work with as well.

Well, I hate to say this, but don't get hung up on name brands. It seems like quality is becoming different for each part # that is sold by any Name Brand company. Last week I did a set of IMCA heads for another shop and they provided the Ferrea valves. 1.94/1.50 as per rules. They were not up to the ususal Q.C. (quality) that I have seen in Ferrea. The seat angles were off. The back side angles were all over the place and not concentric with the seats. When I ground the seats correctly the margins varied in thickness.
I'm hoping they dumped some seconds on E-bay or the "Net" that didn't pass their Q.C. It was so bad I called the other shop and requested another set of valves, which he didn't have. This experience was highly out of the ordinary for what I've seen with Ferrea valves. I hope this is not going to be Ferrea's new standard of quality.
