Go to the NHRA Lucas oil site to see the details of the first NHRA double points event. Hmmm! So IHRA is ahead of the curve.

When IHRA first started doubles, everyone b*tched and complained, and do not support it. Now that NHRA follows, it is the best thing since sliced bread...give me a break! next will be $5k races @ NHRA divisionals, wait where did that start?

Of course it's a great idea if it came from NHRA. When it comes from IHRA its always their a joke. Maybe once in awhile the NHRA loyalist out there can admit IHRA does have some good ideas. I won't hold my breath but maybe.
