Mopar master cylinder---disc/drum application

Mopar master cylinder has a 9/16 outlet at the front and a 1/2 outlet closer to the firewall.......can any of you brake Einsteins settle the arguement on which outlet goes to the rear drum and which goes to front disc ??? Thanks for any help.

My MOPAR PERFORMANCE cyl (there are at least 2 - diff bore diameters) has metric fittings. I have used both diameters and with rear drums, then with Grand Cherokee rear disks. with no discernable difference. mine has front brakes on the front port (with line lock).

I was asking about port sizes and placement, bore size is not the issue, thanks for your help

The outlet closest to the pushrod is typicaly used for the front brakes on most drum / disc brake applications.
The front piston has slightly less volume than the rear ,but both develoup the same pressure.
In race applications I've seen them plumbed both ways and work, but I always do mine as I said above.

We recommend front cylinder to the back and back to the front brakes in the kits we send out.

As Tom says, I too have seen them both ways with equal results.

Oh yes, the masters come with fittings that take standard 3/16 lines.
