Billy,
I proposed that to our D-2 rep Mike Crutchfield years ago, He than proposed it to the Stock, Super Stock committee and their answer was it would have to much effect on the world championship. Isn't Stock and Super Stock still a performance based class? At least in my mind it would also help with the AHFS to get things done quicker!!

I'd be for it if they capped it at a total of 20 points per person for each class. To stop someone to from car or combo jumping. Go 5-4-3-2-1 for the top 5.

actually giving a performance base eliminator (s/ss)a little bit of a reward for performance what a crazy idea. I believe Justin lamb was the major one complaining about giving qualifying points on the s/ss committee. He used the example of drew skillman would have beat him for the championship one year. If a qualifying points system were to have been in place that season.
Hard believe people on that committee put there own personal agenda ahead of what is good for the class over all.

Jim
The "Diving Trunks" deal was a 21 point swing. Not my words “Well, that was very weird! Neither car made a burnout and just pulled directly up to the starting line and staged. As soon as they staged, Lambeck drove slowly away. Lamb took the green and drove down the track right behind Lambeck. You decide what this was all about!!” Last edited by Larry Hill; 04-17-2022 at 02:28 PM. |
