A Salute to our Veterans , the reason why We are The land of the free, AND the home of the brave. The sacrifices that were made to insure the FREEDOM of this great country that so many of us take for granted ... I do not know everyone that served but THANK YOU Eddie 66, Bill Seabrooks, Bob Bender , Ken Vaughn , John Dinkel and my Favorite U/SA racer Sarge (Fred Elsass ) ..I know there are more Veterans (racers and fans) among us, Please add your name to the thread ……

Proud to be an American because of the sacrifices of our Veterans. We as Americans can NEVER thank the Veterans enough for all they have sacrificed to give us the freedoms that we have. Many have paid the ultimate price.

I didn't serve in the military, as such. (did not pass the physical, go figure).

Instead, I was working for the Postal Service and that lasted for 40 years. One of my early assignments was working in the military mail portion for about 5 years. I helped make sure all the cards, letters and packages from home got to you all. If you didn't get a few things, OOPS sorry.

Of course, I always salute & have the utmost respect for our Veterans.

For me, my thoughts go out to the Veterans that made the ultimate sacrifice with their lives & their families.

I served our great country 1 month shy of 26 years in the Air Force & continued on for another 15 years as a defense contractor.

Thank You to all Veterans & their families!

I have thought for many years that the timing is perfect we racers need to start a cause for our veterans. Now, I want to get our politicians and our racers to start the cause by giving every veteran $100,000 per year for their service in the United States from our taxes in addition to what they are getting now for their sacrifice for us
