Smitty,
One last time for you on this subject. These cars are making 750-800 horsepower. There's no point in trying to avoid the truth about these numbers any longer; no matter what you say about their ability to avoid a review by the ahfs. Now take your Ford hat off long enough to think about these questions. What is so terribly wrong with running these cars in a FX class or a Computerized injected class? Why does Brian Wolfe insist on running these cars in Stock when he knows he has beat the pants off the nhra tech department with a bogus Horespower number of 425? nhra will put these cars in any class he wants. Why does Mr. Wolfe insist on runing his over powered cars against 40 year old technology?

I don't know that much about Comp racing but, I believe nhra does not allow supercharged cars to run against normally aspirated cars in Comp. How fair is it to run these supercharged cars in Stock when they could be enjoying a great season in FX of Computerized Injected?

Bruce,

I guess we will respectfully agree to disagree, I think NHRA's flawed AHFS will take care of the problem sooner or later. Now as for the supercharged Comp cars, Bo Butner ran a supercharged big block in his combo that Jeff Taylor built, a pro charger and it was stout! He hit the index numerous times, I was at the race where he ran to fast as he car wasn't certified to the et he was capable of. Then you have Hurley who ran twin turbos, Steve Matusek, John Gallina in SS with his twin turbo Regal. There are plenty of boosted combos out there.

Bruce on one hand you are trying to combine classes get rid of some Etc.
On the other you want to add a class.

Tell me, how far under has the 2008 Cobra Jet run under the index? Does it currently hold the AA/SA, AA/S, A/SA, A/S, B/SA, or B/S class records? I don't think so so we shouldn't compare apples and oranges. For the last time, until these cars meet up with an old school AA, A, or B stock trim car quit all the griping. If they clean there clocks along with setting off one of the HP triggers NHRA will do what's right.

Smitty,
A CJ made the fastest pass in Stock history during its third time in competition; 140+. That, of course, means nothing. The big problem with the CJ is not because it has a soft factor - it is because it is grossly under factored.
