It's 2100ft. I thought it was .15 higher indexes at this race. I'm sure Super Gas had a 10.05 index at Las Vegas a couple of years ago however (seen it on youtube, lol).

Google Earth shows the starting line as 2003 feet but that may be before any earthmoving to build the track. They didn't build it up any higher.
Some pretty stout numbersm i see the SS/AH is listed at 9.84 at altitude, so what's the new Sea Level index? |

Well, for all you Cobra Jet "fans" out there, they'll be getting some HP on Monday.
Car#-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed 4135 Brent Hajek C1 ****WINNER**** 0.392 9.867 134.85 A/SA Index: 11.58 (+/-): -1.713 That's -1.433 under the sea level A/SA index. Even though they're running at altitude it results in an automatic hit. For those that are curious, it corrects to a 9.627.

Brent Hajek went 9.867@134.85 in A/SA (-1.713 under the index) with a .392 light against Bill Howell (MOV: 0.699) in the first round of class & still is able to get the win! That’s getting it done! Chad Holzman went 9.962@133.67 (-1.618 under the index) right in front of him! I know this is Vegas, but where is the line for getting horsepower on Monday at a factored track?

Class Day Comments............
The 08 Blower Fords have made a joke of Stock Eliminator......they just let the other car and drive around them.......they ran fast enough to get a 3.25% HP hit for running more than 1.40 under the sea level index......nice cars but they don't belong in stock with the joke HP rating they have........maybe like the FI cars the system will finally catch up with them in 5 or 6 years and have them race with the proper HP rating. Here are some pix from today and I even got a shot of Terry Andersons SS/H car as requested Friday is a day off for Stock & Super Stock other than teardowns..... If I find out anything on Friday I will post it.......

Evan,
There has not been any misrepresentation about the performance of the CJs from our side. And it isn't called complaining when lots of people feel they are getting rolled-over. As racers and members of nhra we have several options that were not on your list. New word from SEMA and the nhra national event: All classes from AA to J (stick and automatic) will soon feature lots of new under-factored cars - from all the OEMs. It's nhra's way of saying thank you to many of it's most loyal members. Tony, Most racers still want to go class racing. 255 of them came to Vegas with dreams of winning class.
