Smile Re: Dart SHP Race block

Been looking at a SHP block also. I'm curious,, are you guys filling the block or are you going to run water through it? Thanks for any info.

Got the SHP block last week.
So far it looks like a nice piece for the money.
In the boreing and honing this week.
Will know more about it once I assemble for Decking.
Yes I am running water.
Keep the comments coming!

My stock Blk. was filled, but I was told that the Cyl. walls were thick enough that one wouldn't have to hardblock it. I'm runnig water so it should be a little lighter.

Great job Dart!
Any other feed back, bring it on.
Thanks

thats great you had good customer service, I called them one time because i was doing some intake manifold design and wanted to know the intake runner length in the dart pro1 heads i have. They laughed at me (literally) and told me they had no idea what the length is and this should have no effect on the design of my manifold, if it did i am using outdated methods of manifold design......... hmmmm...... really? I said "OK, get me the F'n length and i will be on my way using my outdated methods."

I am sure most aftermarket 23 deg heads are about the same, but i did not have the number, and in todays world of 3D cad, its a couple clicks away, afterall i have spent several K$ with them.....

a few days later they sent me the numbers.....

BTW, i run the little M, but i understand the SHP is a good compromise between stock and the M.
