Your welcome I will post more as was stated in my post.It brought tears to my eyes posting those I called him Uncle John.He was over at our house 3-4 days a week we often visited his harware store.For the record my dad didnt build the car he was killed in it was just too much work his arm coulnt take it,He always thought maybe John woulda had a better chance if he woulda built the car.My dad talked to John right before the run he was excited he thought he could get in the 7's there was a water leak the run before.As you know he blew the radiator hose going thru the lights.My dad had gone back to the citie's to get some gears for someones trans his tranny business was real new only 3 years old at the time.That was a terribile phone call we recieved that day .

I was there that sad day as well. John had given my Dad a half-hug that morning since they hadn't seen each other for a couple of years. My Dad hasn't been back to the drag strip since. I too remember the excitement to run in the 7's. R.I.P. John
