They Pay insurance like us Sportsman Racers as well as entrance fees! The Pro Teams that I know and that's most of them appreciate the fact that we are there participating at these events along with them!
Do you race at National Events ? Or Divisional Events ? Or any Events?

Then WHY is there no extra insurance charge at points races and National opens where the pro cars dont race. Explain that to us please.
Answer:
The Track Owners and Operators carry their own insurance as required by NHRA to operate a Lucas Oil event. Less Racers- Less Fans = less insurance.
I have been told that the largest claims come from pit vehicle accidents during National events. Hence why we that have pit vehicles need to have insurance on them, I know I do, $500 K in Liability on my Golf Car and Scooter. $150 per year
For the record I don't agree with the premiums we pay per event, only adds to the high cost of Racing at a National events. Add that to Fuel, Food, and Maint. adds up to about $1000 to $1200 per event, even more for longer distances.
Bottom line is if you wanna Play then you have to Pay !
But don't criticise the Pros, they pay along with us.

But the point you seem to miss is......Unless the Pro cars are at the race the sportsmen do not have to pay the extra $95 insurance included in their entry fee. To me and a lot of others that means the sportsmen are paying part if not most of the extra insurance so the fuel cars can run in case they kill someone again. More sportsmen racers vs the pro car count means they are carrying the load. This has nothing to do about golf carts. Most sportsmen racers could care less about top fuel and Ha Ha cars. They screw up the track anyway. Pro stock is the better part of the pro show but even that has become a joke over the years.
