Email I just received from our D1 Sportsman Rep., Kent Hanley (Thanks for your work on this):

I just got word that if you do not show up to this race you will be granted an automatic transfer credit. You don't need to do anything Bob said he would take care of it with California. Bob told me he didn't want to inconvenience the racers any more than they all ready have been.

There is still no word as to the status of the race. As soon as I hear something I will let you know.

If this is true - Kudos to Bob Lang and the D-1 Leadership. Is there anyway to confirm this?

Angelo, it is true, what I posted is the exact email Kent sent to every D1 racer on his mailing list. If you are not on his mailing list, email him at d1srac.kenthanley@gmail.com and ask him to add you to the list and he will also confirm. I've been annoying him all day by email and he is always quick to respond.

He also confirmed to me that racers who entered this racing using a transfer from last years race can withdraw and still receive a transfer and that "Bob said he would take care of it".

Not rumors, facts straight from our D1 Rep.

Mr. Worner,

Atco is possible with no huge event but Englishtown will not give up their big import weekend.

Have been receiving the same e-mails. At least we have Kent trying to make things easier on the racer. Thanks Kent!!

Rumors. The bad thing about all of us sitting around is that it gives us too much time to come up with this s@#$. I can only imagine (and it's been my experience with them) that NHRA has no idea yet as to what to do. They're really just a bunch of optimists and hoping for the best. This is just a wait and see.

Never Has Refunded Anything?

I think it is a little hasty to cancel tomorrow, we could get parked, teched, and everyone get one session in tomorrow if it doesn't rain. Maybe start teching cars at VF outlet to save time?

OK - So we've sitting around for hours and told every story we can remember - what to do now ? Some folks - myself included went shopping - not many people in the stores and many bargains - why not take advantage ? Some however were buying questionable items - you decide which .What goes on in motorhomes ......well you get the rest .

The Sun has been in and out many,many times today but not much rain - and thats' all the good news I have to report .All kinds of rumors coming back from the track - but until I confirm them they will stay secret .We all should stay away from that sort of thing as nothing good can come out of it . Ever .........

PS- If you're ever going to pose for a picture for me be sure of your surroundings .But compared to Toby I'm harmless .............
