Location! Location! Location! We have the best pit spot ever thanks to Jimmy Hildalgo , Coty and Zeek. 30 amp power, water, and a place for blackwater looking at the 1/8 mile cone. All of that is great but now comes the good part! We are one spot down from the Garrison racing and cooking compound. They cook every day: pork, chicken, fish, sausage, green beans, crawfish ettafay, seafood balls and just a host of other great Cajun dishes. The smell alone will pick you up two tenths. Mr. Garrison cooks for everybody and everything is wonderful
Something interesting happened this morning during first round of qualifying! They had to stop for a couple of minutes to get the cottonmouth snake off the starting line. Evidently the snake had ridden up on someone's car and fell off when the car left the starting line! Now that's a first!! It is still hot and humid here! |

Ebay beer. Jeff had some old leftover parts that he sent me back in the winter. The parts I did not buy from Jeff I sold on Ebay for beer money. That's why we have Ebay beer. If we don't race a lot this summer we should be liquid enough in our account to cover the refreshment cost of the 60th US Nationals! Ain't nothing like proper planning.
