How to put the Sport back in NHRA Sportsman racing

Doing away with heads up runs is not a good idea,but the rest of the story hits the nail right on the head. The idea of the qualifing money is a geat idea too. Do you hear us Len????????????????????How about working hard to get the pay outs up at the Division races also. Read some where that NHRA only pays back 20 % of its profit back to the racers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This guys article is partly crap. There is a good idea in one or two cases but this " Let them run class heads-up but NOT in eliminations; let?s see which one of them can drive " Let this clown build a 9 sec Pro footbreak et car and run against those guys all day long. All these bracket guys with the eleminate heads up races in eliminations have one thing in mind. THERE OWN ADJENDA. They don't have to learn or spend the money to make there car run well. Before you know it, you have a field of cement mixers. You can score big at a Pro et race or the bracket finals. You can run that kind of racing all over. There is no reason to walk away from that if you don't like our rules. Whats great about our racing is it allows great drivers to win races, but gives an advantage to a guy who likes to work on his car and make it run well. It's still about building a hot rod (to a small extent)
In all due respect to this guy, or class is doing well (for the most part and guys are building new cars all the time) he should figure out a way to make some other form a racing better.

once again some AUTHORITY asshole who want so make wholesale changes in MY CLASS...

well sports fans there is plenty of interest in stock & superstock

unfortunaltely some keyboard pounders think they are appointed god and want to make themselves the saviour.

if you think we are broken look at this past weekend at pats place... spectators galore, pits full, everyone having fun... what happened ??? hell pat spent some time and money promoting his race and the spectators got to see us RUN CLASS.... it was great !!!!!!!!!!!!!

unlike INDY when we are all done before the spectator gets off work friday and all they get to see are a few bracket rounds we run.

our class aint broke, it has been bent all to hell with NHRA allowing too much bull****, and not enforcing thier own damn rules. Class winners have ALWAYS BEEN THE QUALIFIERS, then the field is filled with the other fastest cars... heads up are ALWAYS part of the game... remember we are a performance oriented class.

get rid of the electronics, and enforce the rules... and let us run at least all class finals on saturday am at indy, others...

p.s. dale rogers idea... reality show (like pimp / pinks) follows one class racer through class elimination day... starts with night before ends with class final... i bet hes right, it would draw attention... if the idiots will watch pimp my ride and pinks this might be a hit ????????????????
