Scott,

Even if the mine shaft rule applied, -1.20 runs still count. It made it more difficult to get the mine shaft rule with only one time trial as well and no class. My guess is you won't see too many LT1 automatic cars at indy.

Number 1 I have not dog in this but: Question #1 396 Iron heads Camaro gets HP does Nova get it also??

With that being said if Nova gets HP why doesn't Corvette with LS1 get same HP as Firebird/Camaro ?????

Bobby, NHRA has a series of platforms they consider a family. I think the Nova is included with the Camaro. Personally I don't like the 'family' system they use. But then what do I know. But if you read the post on NHRA Racer, it specifically has Camaro and Nova together.

Bobby,

The Nova does NOT get HP added. One of the criteria, besides the engine, is that the HP is applied to the same "platform" (i.e. F-body). Since the Nova is not an F-body, HP is not added to the Nova or any other non-F body vehicles. If the '69 Firebird had been available with the 396 (of course that kind of thing didn't happen back then) it would have been included.
