Re: Live from the NHRA Summernationals @Raceway Park-English
Talk about a rude greeting - at around six this morning Mother Nature decided that we needed to be wet and let go of a hard downpour. We certainly didn't see that coming but the good news is that a few minutes ago the Sun popped out and we're on our way to drying .
Now about racing - yesterday was terrific with good races all day and today should be more .I must admit being in a car racing would have been more fun than behind a lens but sometimes you just have to make the best of a bad situation .Racers yesterday reached very deep to bring out their best performances and made for a super show to watch .
In just a few hours Stock and SuperStock will be out for round one .The weather today isn't the mineshaft conditions we've had the last few days-68 degrees with 69% humidity and .49 VP with the barometer at 29.78 and a final DA of 1500 feet..
How about the mad Hawaiian getting some new duds .He was in rare form after loosing a close one in the class final .
And since Kenny didn't like having me for a neighbor he has been kind enough to pick out next years spot for me and I'm not thrilled with the location pictured below .He blames me for everything ....hmmmmm
Later..........
