I think it would be. Maybe for tracks that don't get to see cars like these run it could be like an old Jenkins vs Landy match race.
Here is one just a couple miles from me. Big crowd to see these guys....

Pause that at 6.05 and I think it is our late great SS racer John Heida in the gold jacket and dark blue Dutchman's hat, smoking.

Now there are a lot of great stockers at Indy that will sit out eliminations because these cars eat up 30 and more of the 128 spots. Only good news you don't have to run them in class but that's as far as most will go this year. 1.3 under will they get HP or not?

Tom this is live from thread, not a thread to tell us whats wrong with NHRA. We are here to have fun and let the racers that could not make it, know whats going on. This type of post just pisses me off, I don't usually say anything, but you need to start you own thread. Feel free to post on how NHRA screwed you, but please don't post it in this thread.

A little respect for the people who are trying to have fun would be nice.

Back to what people are here for, they just called Super Stock in to lanes, Super Comp is just finishing up. I have lot a photos and a few videos, It will be awhile before I can finish editing them, so stay tuned I will be back.

PATSY - KEVIN - KEN ... fabulous job of keeping those of us who are elsewhere well informed. I Wouldn't go to the extent of choosing to stay home on account of the on-line 'play-by-play', but its surely a wonderful alternative for both the 'would be' competitor and the racing fan that simply just couldn't make the trip.

You're all truly a valuable resource for the sport we love!
