Bobby's car will be in some pretty good company over there. I have heard the new owner will be assisted by Kjell Geisler who bought one of the Checkmate cars a few years back.
My Six Pack motor went over there in 2006 followed by My 70 Cuda A/SA with a hemi motor that Don Little and I collaborated on after PMR updated the car in 2008. My car looks exactly the same today as it did when it left my shop and since the new owner of Bobby's car is reportedly into restoration also, I am sure Bobby's car will look the same. When the two cars get together heads up, it won't be the first time. The Swedish guys are really great to work with, They listen, pay attention, and follow instruction to the letter. I am pretty sure Bobby's car will be faster in Sweden than it was in the USA because the Government says no leaded fuel, so they run oxygenated fuel and it makes more power. As has been said before, the end of an era. Tough decision to sell made by a great guy and a dam good racer. That decision will be tough on Bobby just like it was for me, kind of like losing a life long companion. Dave Schmitz |
