Last few years it's been a Camaro class. With this change the teams will go with the most aerodynamic body and all cars will be that body. If they wanted more than one body style in competition this is not the answer.

I couldn't agree more. ProStock has taken a beating since The DA & SG Mopar/Nitrous scandal. The "Fake News" shop invasion and coverup hurt the Sport and Class and many of it's Real Champions. The Champions that the Fans as well as Racers Respected. I consider myself lucky to have witnessed those Saturday Night hair raising Qualifying sessions from teams like Warren & Kurt Johnson, Bob & Etta Glidden, Reher-Morrison, Jenkins Competition and many more. The hundredths and dedication that separated the Old ProStock will be a "lasting memory" of Carbureted 500", big scooped high revving excitement. The changes made to the Sport are not favourable to many, but in this day and age its everywhere. Not Honouring Racers Accomplishments (NHRA), the dedication that builds a Class and following of fans and racers gets traded off for a poor idea. MB

The irony of all this is F/X started off the same way being supported by the factories as a no-holds barred racing campaign before things got crazy later in the 60s when they became "funny". So by 1969 Pro Stock evolves the same way, from S and SS where some of the original F/X guys turned to because of Detroit backing and were looking for another "outlaw" showcase to help them sell REAL cars. Sadly, PS has morphed into a second funny car class...except slower, powered by gas, and normally aspirated. My question is, if casual fans are paying to see nitro, why would they hang around to watch the slower "gas funny cars"? It's become a joke in my opinion.

Remember when I told you all that Alan Johnson (T/F & FC) was going to be prepping my engines for Stock Eliminator. Well this is the beginning, first Pro Stock engines, soon it will filter down to Stock.

Can you see it now, KB motors, Gray motors, Elite motors. Lets allow Toyoto and Honda bodies with PS motors, why not.

Have you heard that Mercedes & BMW are interested in PS now. Another rumor going on is that Tesla is thinking about getting into PS with a driver less car.

Pro stock was done in 2017, nothing I mean nothing will bring it back short of a complete re-do.
Another thing NHRA, says they discussed this with the Manufacturers, I am sure that was with Chevrolet only, because no one else would come, knowing what they were proposing.
Different bodies, give me a break, the only bodies that will get massaged will be Chevies by the factory, for their cars. Everyone one else will be left behind, thus Camaro only class.

Current PS teams are just trying to boost the class by having fringe racers buy used Darts and then lease them motors. Stupid...but no more than Mustang and Camaro bodies on Funny cars being sponsored by the manufacturers. Geez
