Same rules that the U.S. Border enforces. Bring Passport or apply for NEXUS card.If you have been arrested or did time they won't allow you into Canada.( Same rule as the U.S). No weapons, make sure that you forget bullets from a hunting trip. I always make an inventory of the equipment you have in the track and trailer, you might never be ask from an agent but all you need is an ahole to ruin your week-end. Leave the racing gas at home, buy it at the track.Environment laws can be a bitch. Michigan enhance licence isn't accepted in Canada anymore. Just be prepared. everybody has a horror story to tell, don't be one or an ahole. In Canada and in the U.S. you need the DMV ownership of the car if it was a licence on time or another, if it;s a body in white you need a Notarize paper saying the car was built from parts. If you don't have a DMV ownership leave the race car at home because if they check it will be confiscated in the U.S or Canada... if they check. Good luck and have fun.lol

The OP may be prepared to cross the border but just in one more tidbit. Going into Canada last summer with a cashier’s check made out to recipient and the agent thought I should have disclosed ( there’s a limit on the amount of cash you can carry). They were polite but a bit of a delay to get it squared away. Bringing race car (year of car dictates what you’ll need) back across and the U.S. agents helped me complete all the required paperwork to augment the bill of sale. FWIW I’ve visited Canada on business and pleasure many times and never had a big issue, we’re taking our RV to Prince Edward Island and then on to Banff this summer with our grandson and really looking forward to everything but filling up with diesel...ouch.

Your US dollars are worth about 30% more than ours ... if that helps at all.

It helped a lot in the strip clubs on Yonge Street 30 years ago.

No weapons, including pepper spray. Yes, they'll ask.

No ammo either, if they find any they will tear your rig apart looking for guns (this found out from fellow bike riders on the Alaska trek). One year we took our Weimaraner into Canada to earn her Canadian championship (she was # 5 Weim in the country in 2005 and yes dog lovers brag about their dogs as much as their kids, sometimes more) and in the process she won some items including two bags of dog food. The food was processed in Canada and was confiscated coming back into the states, along with lots of associated hassle. Can’t be stressed enough, no joking and clear direct answers only.

Everything Cdncarnut and Mr Fletcher said. I will add that it is a good idea to have a file folder , everything listed in a typed format. If you have an ownership and original bill of sale have it with you. If you supply everything it gives them no reason to look any further, they appreciate your effort and you go along the way. Welcome to Canada where your dollar is worth $ 1.34 so its a cheap weekend. lol
