Thumbs up A Belle Rose Thank You

I would like to personally thank first of all Pat for designing and implementing the Cajun SportsNationals, arguably the best Sportsman race ever to be held. Secondly a huge thank you and a "well done" and thanks to Wesley and the Division 4 guys along with Division 2 Tech Director Jim Collins for making our weekend one to remember. When was the last time you had a Division Director thank you personally for coming to a race? It happened to me and many others this past week! These guys take their jobs seriously but also respect the racer! Mistakes were made but not just overlooked, they were corrected pronto! This race should be a model for all of NHRA's races. Pat should be V.P. of Sportsman Racing and oversee all of the SportsNationals. Anyone who has not made one of these races is really missing out on the best time anyone could have at a race. The friendships made, the parties, the food, and some serious payout money! You can set a record or just go as fast as you want without worry of AHFS hits. And did I mention the Cajun food? I realize that money is tight and fuel prices are high. That was obvious this year as the car count was down from past years. Hopefully more racers will be able to experience one of the best races a racer would hope to attend next year. Plan now and start saving, this is THE race of the year for Sportsman racers. You will not regret going and you will remember it for the rest of your life! Once again, THANK YOU Pat, Jeg's and all involved in the making of the best races I have ever attended!

Default Re: A Belle Rose Thank You

I'll second that.

Jim , I was trying to meet you and other forum members but seem to stay busy all weekend. Friday evening we (Craig Bourgeois B/ND) were protested and had to tear down the engine, Saturday Crawfish Boil enough said, and Sunday racing at it's best.Maybe next year.

$450.00 protest money = enough fuel to get to Dallas this weekend.

Greg,
Sorry we didn't meet! I was at the craw fish boil. for about 3 hours Saturday night. My usual pit spot is next to the scales, come see me next year. I wish somebody would protest me! it would pay for the fuel to get home. Jim
