I talked to a member of the counsil this week at a local Bracket event. He told me that they are currently working on 3 items.

1) Having ALL Classes back at National Events

2) Getting a 'freebie' Oil Down like the Pro's get

3) Getting ICard back

Perhaps there is more, but those are the ones he told me about.

Ed...the I-Card is too high tech for you...we all know you still use an Etch-A-Sketch for a laptop...

Common Ed...tell me how you feel...just yanking your chain... Ed, the I-card gives real time data of the runs. There is lots of information at the following site:

Eddy,

Its another one of those have to have toys for the guys who have everything.. Its like having someone writing down everyone's time slips and download them on your telephone/computers for safe keeping... I think you should buy two of them incase one breaks...Nothing against CrewChief-Pro, but there are more important things to the majority of racers than the I-card , I have to agree with Ed on this one.. How about Payouts, Entery Fees, Round-monies, better Pit Spots, Fuel costs,Two-day races,etc..?
What does everyone else think is important to Stock + SuperStock racers..... Dave,

I can see how the iCard can be a neat device, but I hardly see why it is such a high priority for people who don't sell the equipment. There are a number of issues involving sportsman racing that should take much higher priority than a toy.

One may not want to move forward and get the latest part, but let's not move backwards. How much money has been spent on stocker cams, disc brakes, aftermarket pistons, aftermarket rods, electric water pumps, electric fans, stainless valves, transmissions, and other parts? What if they were all disallowed? If a person does not see the value in a part then do not use it, but to do away with the part once people have spent money is just plain wrong.

Change, any change, should be very carefully considered before allowing it, and once it is allowed, it should not be disallowed unless it is of great detriment to the sport.

There are racers out there who do not embrace change and wish to remain NHRA Stock Eliminator pure (no put down meant, or implied, just stating a fact), and when they do well it makes us all feel good.
