Re: ET Prediction Software
So first of all kind of totally perplexed to find myself in total agreement with ED, a first and undoubtedly a sign of the impending apocalypse! Mark I was happy to see you went with Bob and iFamily, you'll not be sorry!!!

Re: ET Prediction Software
I switched from Crew Chief to Family Software quite a few years ago, Bob is real easy to deal with and his software works. I found the support with Crew Chief to be challenging at best.

Re: ET Prediction Software
We use a ~1994 Casio Calculator for Density Altitude that my Dad had bought as part of an DA kit when he raced S/C. We since replaced the temp and humidity gage with a $15 digital one from amazon that we checked against others ones around our 2 houses to be safe. We have an analog altimeter too. We track our runs in the attached excel document I came up with. I do a trend line sometimes and/or just best guess when I know the DA. All bracket racing around Michigan has gone 1/8th mile and the et's reflect that. It works ok, more consistent than the driver, that's for sure!
Wouldn't let me attached the excel file for whatever reason. So here are some screenshots.

Re: ET Prediction Software
I have raced S/C,S/G and Stock since 1975 and have always used CCP since around 2008 and have won a few Nationals/Divisionals here and there, the driver is the problem! not my cars,I recommend CCP to many. We have had no problem with Crew Chief Pro,Don & Michele Higgins have always answered any question we threw at them. Everyone’s got a different idea about everything, including makes of cars and whose Transmission and converter are best,! Mark when you said at Vegas When we raced that you didn’t know that I sandbagged that badly and after we raced I showed you my CCP that all 3 formulas were within 2 thou. I was going dead 2 and unfortunately you missed your dial by a bit.IMHO Crew Chief Pro is great for us. Chad Langdon 706C G/SA

You are right....your predictions were spot on!! I have had good days and bad days with CCP as well. However, there have been enough bad days that I can't bring myself to rely completely on predictions which sometimes vary .05-.08 from Formula 1 to Formula 3. But the real problem I have with the product is not the product itself. It seems you have enjoyed a much different experience with the owner of the company than I.....and that's probably because you're just a nicer guy than I am!!! I know for sure you're better looking!!! Seriously though, I think I will be more comfortable with a more personable vendor than the forementioned software vendor. |
