Today started out cloudy and dreary but ended up with sunshine and lollipops!! It is cool tonight--55 going down to 40 by morning. The rest of the week is all sunshine. 59-tomorrow and up to 70s by the weekend. Nightime is a different story though! 1st round of qualifying on Thursday it is supposed to be 31 degrees! Sounds like mineshaft to me!! We are supposed to get 2 qualifying runs and then go into Class for stock and super stock both on Thursday. Should be fun!!
Today was a day spent cleaning up and getting pumped, water and propane. All of those trucks have been driving around and you just go out and flag them down. There are a few rigs waiting to get parked, but they did not park any sportsmen today. Tomorrow is tech day or whatever it is to get credentials, etc. I guess we will find out all about it then. Here are a couple of pictures from Sonny's Bar-B-Q tonight: ![]() Me, Larry, Dennis Breeden, Dan Zrust, Jeff Teuton, and Sonny ![]() Cowboy and Bugsby getting ready for the craziness tomorrow! |

Not much going on today, but I did find a few cars out. Not many in line to get in, most are here already.

"Baby, it's cold outside!" 39 degrees right now! Getting even colder tonight!
They have begun parking rigs this morning. Today we get to find out all about the new tech process. We will let you know how that goes! Cell service here is really bad. I thought they were putting up a temporary tower but if they did, they haven't turned it on yet. I have a Verizon hot spot that is working ok, but my AT&T phone service is not very good. I will try to get some pics today if anybody unloads their cars!! |

I found a few more cars out, I also have a photo of the credential trailer. No lines for most of the day. I'm guessing that having a division race here before the national helped things go smoothly today.

Well I spent most of the day inside cooking chili. At least it was warm inside after Larry worked on the furnace for a while this morning. We had not had it on in a couple of years and it did not want to stay lit, but it is warm and toasty in here now.
Tech (or no tech) went fine today. We went over and got our tech card, car and pit pass, filled out card and was in line for 15 or 20 minutes. The biggest job is for the poor ladies in the trailer. Wilma and Gloria had their jobs about tripled! I hope they got triple pay!! We have not heard anything contrary to the fact that we are to begin running at 8:30 in the morning. With it being 28 degrees, we will have to see if that still happens. My prediction is that we will all lose our 1st run of the day and we won't start til at least 10. But that is just my opinion! And you know how valuable that is!LOL Here is a picture to show just how cold it was this morning! Snuggling weather! ![]() Depending on how busy we are with class and how cold it is, I will try to get some pics tomorrow!! |
