Congrats to the winners of the All-Star race.

I do have a question about the picture of the A/S 1966 Plymouth of Jason McCormick. What kind of seats are in his car? The sedan was only available with a bench seat even if it was powered by a hemi.

Well we had a great time at Joliet although it would have been a lot better if we had won a round! Spent some great
times with great friends! Last night we had some great Chicago pizza at Beggars Pizza. We had enough left that we will be eating pizza for 2 more days!

To be as hot as it was, especially on Thurs, the starting line crew did a really good job. We hooked all weekend! It was fun watching the all star race. Everyone wants to be an all star, but then you have to race that allstar in the other lane!

We are now on our way to Norwalk. Mike and Paula Cotten and Eric and Deb Bell are in route with us. We heard a nasty rumor that Lenders Lot is not opening til 8 Monday morning, but we are going there first and see. I will give updates when we get there. It is a little over 300 miles.

More from Norwalk!

Cour got the win, but was then DQ'ed for fuel in post-race inspection. That put Wenzel back in.

I find this to be unusual. In my experience I don't recall getting checked for fuel during eliminations except for a heads up run or being one of the two finalists. I have even been waived away from the scales a few times if my memory serves me correctly.

Cour's fuel passed all along......makes no sense to be fuel checking during a bracket race anyway.......Heads up or Class YES.!!!!!.....just another case of NHRA still being in the dark ages. Makes no sense.

Larry & Patsy,

I spoke to the track last week about when Linders Lot would open and she did say 8am on Monday. At Norwalk........that usually means 8am on Monday!

There is a Walmart on the north side of town which would hold your rigs till then.

See you tommorow!

I had a heads up 2nd round at Etown. They waved the winner and myself the loser bye full check. I asked Bruce at the scales why. He just shrugged his shoulders. All I could do is shake my head and make a smart *** comment.

I told Andy it is lucky it wasn't us and I hope the Cours contained themselves - ABSOLUTELY ridiculous - why would a racer do it - why should NHRA believe the test - NHRA needs to be asked VERY PUBLICLY - what this accomplished - it was not a heads up - it clearly was their test which failed not the fuel - OMG - I am pissed off and I am 2000 miles away
