Personally, I would like to see this as a trend. Sportsmen one weekend and pros the next. I'd like to see the entry fee go down as well, it's increase has been due mostly to the pros in my observation/opinion. Nevertheless, they will charge whatever they can.

We you know it is hurricaine season in the Atlantic so a Fall race on the Eastern seaboard is risky weather wise at best.

Its a good idea if you can afford the extra car and the extra entry fee and insurance fee for the fuel cars just to get a better parking spot. Maybe bring a T/S car and claim it as a pro stock car....LOL. |

I do not have a dog in the fight, and try and stay off these subjects if i can. However, some times one must state his thoughts. I thought there were 4 pro classes in NHRA-t/f f/c p/s psm. If that is true, then why is comp and alcohol running this weekend as they are sportsman classes also. If they are no longer sportsman, it is news to me,and if they are pros, why do they have reps on the SRAC. Just looks to me like the same classes get the shaft everytime. Are the alcohol reps standing up for you guys, or are they glad to be running this week while the rest of you wait a week and pray for better weather. Just my 2 cents.

I know I would certainly be pi$$ed off,if I took vacation and drove down to see S/SS this weekend only to find out they were put off to next weekend. The event schedule on NHRA.com should be updated as a courtesy to the fans that are looking forward to seeing
real race cars and not just the noisy leakers that are running this weekend. |

I usually don't post at 2:45 pm, but since I've burned vacation time for this race I might as well. Certainly a difficult situation for all as we have no control over the weather, but waiting until Wednesday night to make this decision cost a lot of people (sportsman racers) a LOT of money. I have to think, based on past experiences, that this could have been called last weekend when the initial letter went out - either way, I'll take this as a lesson learned.
I'm really just disappointed to be missing out on the excitement of a national event, like everybody else, but I do appreciate the effort by our sportsman reps to keep us informed. Good luck to all that make it back next weekend.
