Seen this song done tonight by Jesse Colin Young and some kids for the 4th on CNN.Very moving performance and so fitting for the times.Mark,I know this is my 2nd post,sorry I'll stand in the corner tomorrow...John (gsa612)

Wasn't doing any racing or cruising when this song came out in 1974, got the album via "diplomatic pouch" on a reel to reel format while stationed as a Marine Security Guard at the American Embassy in New Delhi, India.

There's a group that was quite popular on the N.E. FM rock stations in the 70's

(also Third Rate Romance...Could have done a two-fer on this one ;-) )
