From what 1320 go says, the track gets their internet from an air card.

I'm here at belle rose and I will say this, the Internet here isn't the best. Verizon & AT&T signals are very weak, my sprint hot spot seems to be the best we have in the tower, and even it comes and goes.....
We're working on the 1320 go signal for tomorrow...... Unk

We finally finished up the 1st round of class in stock and super stock is running now. Class was run the most poorly of anywhere we have ever been. They called up A/SA thru H/SA all at the same time and there wasn't enough room to get everyone matched up. Since class is run on a ladder, most everyone knew who they had. Then they moved up and it was all mixed up when they ran. In B/SA we are left, along with Zimmerman, Latino, Cummings and Womack, and Stubbs.
I hate to say this because I really like Pat Joffrion and I know he is doing his best to run this race, but the track owners do not seem to run things nearly as well as when Pat owned the track. The grass has not been mowed at all (and it really needed it). The VP fuel here is $1 per gallon more than at the national event in Gainesville last week. ($14 per gallon for C-11. And then all the problems with the internet. And the speakers in front of the stands aren't working. This used to be our favorite racetrack, but they need lots of improvements to be there again. One thing has been good, we have hooked every run. More later. Looks like it is going to be a late night tonight to get class in. |

Well this day is finally over. Sorry for no reports, but it has been a very busy day. We ran it up in B/SA to Kevin Stubbs. Great job, Kevin! Since DRC has not posted yet, here are a few winners: A/SA Gary after Richards red-lighted, C/SA-Grubbs after Ratliffe was a no-show, D/SA Davis over Stein, E/SA Williams over Bennett, F/SA Poole over red-lighting Eakins, G/SA Teuton over Belanger.
More tomorrow. |

Toby,
There is currently no internet available in the area that the track is located. There is no cable or DSL in the area. I am sure cable could be run, but there is only one cable company in the area, and I imagine they would charge a substantial amount to do it.

One of the best things of this race is the incremental time sheet that is available from Draw.
Rumor has it that a few side bets were made durring class. The only bet I know that was made and paid, I lost a beer bet to Kevin Stubbs. Frank, there was a big crawfish boil last night, but we were busy with class and the speakers were not working everywhere so I don't know if everyone was invited or if it was a private affair. It looked like mostly super class racers there. Last edited by Larry Hill; 03-17-2012 at 08:42 AM. |
