Originally started out as a '64 Max Wedge car with aluminum front end. Joe Ralph put a hemi in it and ran SS for the many SS races that were being held in this region. Later, when the match race craze grew, the car was modified as shown.

Anybody know the current status of The Trip A/FX car? It was originally an incredibly rare '64 aluminum paneled 4 speed car and was purchased by a high profile Florida collector in its altered wheelbase form a few years back.

Last I had heard the car was being restored to stock. Huge job.I saw the car run in the Malco funny car circut in June of 67 at Motor City Dragway. Shocked how fast it was 165+ mid 8's.but very squirrly.I have never seen a pic of the car with the dark blue windows it had that day.Others there were the Tom Sturm Corvair, Bloody Red Baron Dart and a bunch more.
